Keahi de Aboitiz Releases Tunnel Vision

He might live in Hawaii most of the time these days, but Noosa still claims Keahi as our own local watersports legend.

Keahi's dad, Chris de Aboitiz started Kitesurf Australia - one of the first kitesurfing schools in Australia - back in 1999 and Keahi honed his talent right here in Noosa.

There was a healthy rivalry between Keahi (former world wave kite champion) and Andy Yates (former freestyle world champion) before Keahi left freestyle behind to pursue a dedicated career in the surf.

There wasn't anything Keahi wouldn't or couldn't ride as a kid. From eski lids to palm leaves (oh how we wish we had a photo of that), light wind to a howling gale, Keahi was on or in the water every chance he got. People look at his skill with envy, but we know the hours and hours that have gone into honing the unbelievable 'velcro feet', he has today.

We wish him all the best with the release of Tunnel Vision; a movie that shows the length and depth of his passion (and tremendous talent) for all things wave oriented, but especially kiting.
